JAPANESE IMMERSION EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

This is a sample program. The time and content can be changed to suit the needs of your students. Mini bus parking is available.

During the program, your students are immersed as much as possible in the Japanese language by spending time with native and non-native speakers.

As a part of language acquisition, your students will prepare all meals and receive the recipes in Japanese.

The meals are chosen based on popular traditional meals with ingredients that are readily available in most supermarkets in Australia. They can be modified to suit your students’ food allergy and tastes.

Day 1
11:02 am 11:30 12:00 pm 1:00 2:30 3:45 5:00 7:00 9:30	Arrive at Wollongong Station Walk to accommodation (about 15 min walk) Arrive at accommodation and room allocation Orientation - Rules and expectations during the program - Explanation of the program and facilities Cook lunch おこのみやき Japanese lesson Tea ceremony and learn to tie a ふろしき (afternoon tea) Stroll/swim on the beach before dinner Cook dinner 　　すし、みそしる Japanese movies and games/language exchange with Japanese students Shower or Japanese bath おやすみなさい
Day 2
Available from 7:30 am 9:00 10:30 11:00 12:00 pm 12:44	Breakfast (choice of cereal, toast, fruit, juice, tea, coffee) Japanese lesson Morning tea and pack up Cook lunch 　　おやこどんぶり Leave accommodation to go to Wollongong Station Leave Wollongong Station
